Stephanie Sherwood: Expression In Boundaries

Stephanie Sherwood paints the grit of reality to reflect on our collective being.

Pushing the boundaries of what painting means in different contexts, Stephanie Sherwood reinvents the artistic form to shape new moments of discovery. Rooted in the abject nature of existence, Stephanie draws from the less desirable corners of being to pull forth the common experiences we share in struggle. Her work has transformed from depicting the body and meat to a dance between rigid structures and soft forms to explore the what boundaries hinder our souls from their full expressions.
